An algebraic approach to the Weyl groupoid

چکیده
We unify the Kumjian-Renault Weyl groupoid construction with Lawson-Lenz version of Exel's tight construction. do this by utilising only a weak algebraic fragment C*-algebra structure, namely its *-semigroup reduct. Fundamental properties like local compactness are also shown to remain valid in general classes *-rings.

A Groupoid Approach to Quantization
Many interesting C∗-algebras can be viewed as quantizations of Poisson manifolds. I propose that a Poisson manifold may be quantized by a twisted polarized convolution C∗-algebra of a symplectic groupoid.
